Dogs

The modern dog has developed throughout thousands and thousands of years from the wolf to the variety of breeds of dogs we see every day. Dogs developed in many different places in many different times.

Camels

The camel's domestication had a very large impact on Middle-Eastern history and culture. The camel provided a new way or travel, new trade items, and made war and daily life more effiecient.

Pigs

Humans have depended on pigs for food for thousands of years. Some have suggested that pigs were the first animal to be domesticated primarily as a food source (dogs were domesticated some 20,000 years prior). Our exhibit tracks the importance of pigs to human societies throughout history.
